Overview

​​During the first implementation of the Rubona project in Summer 2023, we were approached by members of the Nyakibizi community to implement a similar water project. As we prepared for the final implementation of Rubona, we stayed in close contact with Nyakibizi and conducted an assessment trip of the site during our final implementation at Rubona.

Integrated Development Action (IDA) Rwanda

As our Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), IDA-Rwanda is our primary in-country contact that helps coordinate all aspects of the project in Rwanda. Their mission is to promote the development of living standards of poor and most vulnerable people in rural Rwanda, and their vision is to build an environment that eliminates social injustice and inequality. IDA Rwanda has experience working on a variety of projects throughout the country in areas including health, education, human rights promotion and advocacy, agriculture and food security, water, hygiene and sanitation, and environmental protection and nature conservation. July/August 2024 - Assessment Trip

During the final implementation trip for the Rubona project, our team also conducted information and data gathering for the Nyakibizi trip. We also made valuable connections within the community to facilitate working together in the future.​
